Massive overhead but it doesn't seem to matter. At medium settings VRAM usage drops below 8GB on my 12 GB card. Capping it even lower at 40 fps, same story, drops to 37-38.Ĭapped at 40 fps the game uses only 12% of my 12700K and around 40% of my 4070ti at 4K. If I cap the fps to 60 I get the same drops, but this time to around 57-59 resulting in the same hitches. It never drops far below 95 fps though, so you'd think capping the fps to 60 would fix my issue. They're very brief resulting in a micro stutter or hitch If I cap the framerate at 100 fps (staying clear of the 120 fps refresh rate limit of my screen), I get small micro drops to 95 fps. It's an odd thing that's going on with this game: ReBar is enabled and RT is disabled and the game is installed on a 2TB Nvme SSD. Experiment with the RBAR setting if your system supports that. This game really needs to be installed on an SSD, though.ĭisable RT. Not because you're downloading it - but because it needs to add the downloading data into packages within those 35GB of data.Автор сообщения: cswigerI don't get hitches or stuttering- except cell transitions- on a 16 GB i7-4970k and a 12 GB VRAM 1080 Ti. That's why you're seeing that amount of GB. It uses those 345MB and patches them into the (already on your drive) 30+ GB (assuming 35GB, like myself and others have mentioned). It's not like it just needs to download the 345MB patch and then it just magically (no pun intended) applies without doing any patching/work with that data. Whereas a few years ago, Steam didn't tell you this bit of info - it just told you the download size, and then you could sit there with 100% downloaded for a few minutes (or however long, depending on your hardware) with no idea of what it was doing or why it was taking "this long" to do it. It's even depicted with icons with a separator, showing what is what. Right Side = Patching amount (the amount of data, on your drive, that it needs to apply the patch to). Steam is even giving you the info, to show you what it's doing. (if you for some reason is downloading more than that then you might have corrupted files or something like that - which is a whole different situation) You're still only downloading 345MB (give or take), as mentioned above. I think you might be misunderstanding me here :)
